Job done, did a soak test half hr key down on am
wasn't even warm,no buzzing looks good I think, voltage is at 13.11 so that's within spec.
Fitted the regulator board for looks only.
Happy with the result.
the counter module was looking a bit tatty so added some sticky sticky to show willing :D

a lot of nice stuff out there but its getting harder and harder to get them.
prices are crazy for old cb stuff.
in an ideal world i will buy some thing in sort it out make a few quid and sell to some one that will enjoy it.
i get my enjoyment from repairing and restoring.and the worse state its in the better.
but if i got to pay say 100 for a radio turn it around and sell for and extra 20 or 30 quid it makes things not cheap anymore.
i gave 200 for the 2000 from a m8 that bought it from the usa he had no idea about the inside of it.
it came damaged and he got a refund and got to keep the radio .
i would of liked to payed 100 done some work on it and quick sale of say 140 but you just aint gonna find one in the uk for 100

so true o know what you mean. so many are messed up with mods. The price you need to pay for one now with no guarantee is as you say not cheap anymore. Timne you buy from usa and pay shipping its crazy. The one i had covered high band and had fm but nothing was botched to the face except a few labels that could be removed. The alarm was like a truck reversing.

The sound out of it with the matching speaker was great i sold mine to a mate after he pesterd me for months. He moved away but i did get in touch and he wont sell it to me but i am pestering him in the hope he does lol been a few year as well.

I would just switch on for rxing and old memories of my younger days lol dont do anything on 11m now that i can play on 6m or 10m

Hi Guys .

Which PSU did you buy/fit into the 2000 ? The Ebay #291087849273 is long gone .
