Thats all the Rubber Duckers out of the equasion then!!

I love it when the truckers come through Maidenhead, we can have half an hour's banter then they clear off out of range!! There is a Love, Hate relationship with base stations and mobiles I have found but its all in good fun and we do all have the same respect for the hobbie we love!

I live in newcastle and only get things occasionaly, not very often at all. Its usually truckers using 19, but noticed taxis are getting them installed round here to talk to fellow drivers, more people to talk to!!

Years ago taxi drivers almost tried to take over the CB around here, despite the fact you are not supposed to run a business off it. I used to retaliate and tell passengers 'I know where you are going, I know where you have just came from, does that mean your house is empty?' etc if any of them got abusive.

There was no malice intended, bit it soon put drivers off using CB's instead of PMR. Some drivers used both though, the CB when not carrying, and the passengers used to get a laugh when they were on board. It's next to non existent now round here on 27 mHz.

Just check out the CB radio section on ebay UK.

If all the people who bought CB radios through ebay were actually using them, the channels would be swamped!

Where are they all?

Come on, it's OK - We don't bite (much) :-)
