My Ranger RCI 2950DX arrived!

Post by g0slq »

Just feels so good saying that. Have now got all my kit I need (for now at least - I know it is a dangerous prediction to make) have two complete mobile setups.

Last Saturday went out and actually used radio for first time in years (apart from listening) next challenge is to speak with fellow TM' operators.

Hi Cal

Had hoped to catch up with you on Saturday but too much to expect first time. Not even sure if we have a decent path as traditionally Scotland always difficult from Durham hills.

Do you speak to many in the kingdoms of Durham & Northumberlandshire? - conditions were very good for continentals - wiping out a local to me on several occasions.

Still I'm back in the saddle, so to speak. Perhaps when things settle down, an attempt at groundwave may be possible - north AND south.
