Try this.... http://www.getpaint.net/ much richer feature set than MS Paint, and Free. Not as good as Photoshop, but it does me for most applications.

I use paint.net too - it's quite feature rich. There's a couple of things I'd like to see, but generally it's great!

Also the other recommendation I'd have is Gimp

That is nuts...

I guess these radios have a value that surpasses what they really are...

Send me one to evaluate on test equipment. I bet the synthesiser performance is much worse than a std 148.

IMO the best 148s are the unmolested ones that don't get expanded to high heaven.

i.e. just add the splits and UK40FM via an EPROM and a few subtle mods to improve the receiver and the PLL stability.
Then procede to spend 99% of the time on high band channels 1 to 15

I once bidded £300 for a box standard cobra mint in the box, Left it on auto bid thinking it was enough, as i wasnt there for the end of the auction. I got outbidded by a fiver! i was gutted, I was willing to go to £350 too. And id rather pay for a radio like that. Than this jentec mkV anyday. I think they are worth more totally untouched nowadays.

To me it looks too clean to have been sat in a loft for years. Even if it was stored in a box. Looks too clean and tidy, as if it were someone's well cared for pride and joy.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...
