Keeping old threads alive with google searches ;) Prefer the Audioline 340 I am using at present,to my Uniace 100,as it has better ears and the white noise is far less.I can hardly hear anyone under a 9 on most radios I have used, because of local interference across 27 Mhz,but the 340 is far better for the Uk40,just a pity there is hardly anyone on fm unless there is skip.Just a pity the cybernet radios I have used didn't have something like murata filtering,as they probably might still be here, just too much interference for me.
Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,
Showing a complete lack of respect for the law.

The 340 and 100 should be the same, as they are basically the same radio.

One might need an alignment?

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Can assure you Simon that there are several components on the uniace board that are not on the audiolines.Uniace is at my mates house for spares,we sat both radios together side by side and the 034 boards are not identical ;)

Cheers for that, I was aware that the later uniden (Black front versions) had some differences, but thought the earlier Uniace and 340 were the same.

Obviously the board behind the front panel on the Audiolines is a big difference too.

Never had a 341, but I have had a couiple of Uniace 200's and a Uniden 200 (Black)

I am sure I have a 340 and 100 in bits in my loft, might did them out tomorrow and compare them.

The 100 is probably fixable, but the 340 is too far gone.

I also have a couple of 345 homebases in bits, The board in those is different again, but similar to the 341/200
