Yeah had one for a couple of years and sold it. I really must try and keep some of the stuff I buy! {bnghd}

You can't get them any longer unfortunately. Don't think they're manufactured now.

In my original post, I mentioned that I didn't like the minuteman due to its small size. I did like the audio quality but the physical size was too small, especially the ptt.

It's the main reason I don't like the supplied President microphone!

That's not the microphone they currently supply Chris. I wouldn't be looking for an alternative if they still supplied this type of mic.

Thanks to everyone who put forward comments and suggestions. I've decided on a slightly different approach. I'm going to continue to use my Behringer for my Kenwood, only now I'm going to make up an adapter to use it with my Presidents.
I also have a spare Kenwood MC-43S fist microphone I previously wired for a President Lincoln, so this will get re-wired for my 6 pin Presidents.

Oh well, plans have kind of changed a little. Just when I had decided not to look at an Astatic microphone, along comes an as new Teardrop already wired for a Ranger 2950DX, so works 100% with 6 pin President. :thumbup:
So, while I will still re-wire my spare Kenwood microphone to work with my Presidents, I've now got another teardrop, so seems to have worked out. :)
