New to Hampshire

Post by ccatlin »

Hi All,

Just joined and new to Hampshire, down from London / Beds previously. Living just outside Alton in the villages.

I wondered if anybody can offer some assistance?

Ive been searching through me old and 2013 UK scan directory, also tried lookup on ofcom but I cant see to locate the Alton shop/pubwatch? I assume one exists?

Any help or other good freq for Alton area would be appreciated...

There's a PDF of all the shop/pub watch schemes available here:
http://home.btconnect.com/wirelesscomms ... pwatch.pdf
If your area has one, it'll be on there!

Hello and welcome to Alton.

I have found that the only realy active chanels in alton are the College and the Taxi company near the rail station. other than that its most likely going to be PMR446 inside the town and as the town is in a dip thats unlikely to get any further than the building and surrounding buildings.

I used to live in alton (well four marks) and i found nothing at all. recently moved to Basingstoke and theres loads more there. when there are events on look at 449.4000 as that is where i use my hire fleet radios but most of it will be MOTOTRBO BP.

hope thats a little help.

You should get the Mid Hants Rly on 462.075. Would welcome a report of the tone when you confirm it.
