You may laugh but Hastings is I believe the site of the first ever TV transmissions.

What kind of battle?

I recommend putting all of the marine frequencies in if you can fit them on your scanner and if you want to hear that kind of traffic. Also all of the CB and PMR446 frequencies are good, and the old analogue phone frequencies in 31Mhz can be good if anyone around you is using them.

The battle happened in a little town just outside Hastings called Battle. You are forgiven for not remembering it at the time Ben. It happened in 1066 AD ;) That was even before my time.
