Hi All
After some great advice on scanners I am trying to setup my 800xlt. Are the hampshire frequencies listed in the locked tread still
up to date. I am in the Andover / Salisbury area. If anyone has some frequencies I would be very gratefull thank you. I am hoping for Civil and military air , pretty close to Thruxton aiport where the IOW air ambulance operates, middle wallop air field, Andover chantry center PMR ? Salisbury plain etc. I am also trying to hunt them out so can hopefully put a file togther for other users in this area
Thank you

Thank you that, I will give it a go later. Anyone know the Hampshire and IOW air ambulance, or do they use a generic frequency

Not sure about the "in the air" frequency, possibly Airwave for comms to Police, but tune to Thruxton tower. I caught 99 coming in just last week.

Have a look at: http://www.milscanners.co.uk/frqdb.html
As well as the frequencies for your local airfields like Boscombe Down, do a search of the database for "british army". This will give you the frequencies used by Forward Air Controllers to talk to Close Air Support aircraft during exercises on Salisbury plain. You should be close enough to hear the pilots, even if you can't pick up the FACs.
Also do a search for "london" and you'll get the frequencies for London Military at Swanwick - these are the controllers who provide en-route ATC services to military flights in English/Welsh airspace.

You can't be using it correctly.paull73 wrote:Does anyone know any for Basingstoke, I have tried using the ofcom site, but it does not give me local ones.....
Search between 68 and 470 MHz, then ciick "View results on a map".
OFCOM don't have the gumption to exclude nationwide licences from search results, which includes all the Simple UK licences.
Have a look at licence 0863132 too. No idea what transmissions are used, could be digital.
