Unknown frequency

Post by highlandchatter »

Been picking up this UHF frequency now for about 3 weeks, still unsure of the user in Oban town centre: 461.1625 analogue anyone have any idea? We’ve just had a M&S food hall open, not sure if it might be them .

It's a new licence allocated to CalMac Ferries. Can you confirm the CTCSS tone?

Many thanks for that, really appreciated....I’ll need to get the ubc785 out and see what the CTCSS tone is. Do you know if it’s for shoreside use?? Or on the Ferries? .

As I am sure you know CalMac mainly use 157.550 on the boats although they do have three others plus some UHF. Haven't been to Oban since August but noticed the new licence issued recently so guessing it will be shore side.
Will welcome confirmation of the tone.
