Had this annoying plain carrier on 452.375Mhz for some time.no audio no ctcss etc
Can anyone else hear it? been there a while but not sure if its just some noisey bit of intereference from nearby.did try two different receivers.
It is the old mobile return channel for K division police but check on wtr shows that Arqiva have it licensed as a Satellite (Permanent Earth Station) since 2010 plus these are down winchester neck of woods.

Re: Glasgow 452.375
Had a listen to this last night as i was on m8 east.Started to come through when joining m73 and then lost again. Then reappeared as i travelled west on m74.Certainly seems like its south lanarkshire somewhere. Was quite strong getting near Cambuslang/rutherglen.Equipment used was a simple radio scanner with no signal information(other than ear) and simple rubber duck with no directional properties.
Will have a wee nosey when i get the time and if be get the df gear out.
Had a similar post a while back here which turned out to be a tx for south lanarkshire council jammed on.
see http://www.transmission1.co.uk/viewtopi ... 17&t=42472
all a bit of fun!

That entry is obviously erroneous. We should do a sweepstake to guess how long it takes OFCOM to spot their cock up.radioenthusiast2011 wrote:a check on wtr shows that Arqiva have it licensed as a Satellite (Permanent Earth Station) since 2010 plus these are down winchester neck of woods.

Re: Glasgow 452.375
Had a wee listen to this 452.375 signal recently and found it appears to be transmitting from Logan tower in Cambuslang. There is also another strong carrier around 455.2750 also from Logan tower. These signals appear to be spurs from the 453.825 council transmitter and can be heard over quite a long distance!
Just as well there is no police band in the 452mhz region no more!
For the original post see here...........

Also see the licence number for the council tranny 0026191 doesnt exist any more.
surely not the council being radio pirates lol

Re: Glasgow 452.375
looks like the transmitter has been switched off.
no signals at all now recently from either of the three frequencies.
