There's a lot of radio activity at the moment from the winter festivities in Princes Street Gardens and St Andrews Square. It's all digital, but a few of us have been listening with £10 RTL SDR dongles and free software like SDRSharp and DSD to decode the digital signals.

My frequency list so far is as follows (thanks to elliotg for identifying Pollock Halls, University and Western General). 453.9250 sounds like Edinburgh Airport to me.

Parking attendants are on 165,675 but that's about it for analog. Most of it is NXDN, MPT1327 (particularly Council & Lothian Buses, the latter around the 20x,000 mark, analog) and DMR.

I should probably break out my SDR at some point & have a listen in.

I got a hit on 159.600 NFM on Sunday 14/12/14. Mention was made of the tram in front. Also in the clear were 453.550 / 460.050 CTS 103.5 - Deduced this to be Scotrail at Waverley.
456.700 CTS 151.4 - No idea
449.475 CTS 177.3 - Sports Direct in the St James Centre
