Sorry if this has already been discussed but what frequencies have been allocated to the event staff for the commonwealth games?

Don't know about frequencies, but the main PMR system will be TETRA running on MoD spectrum loaned for the Games, so not very scanner friendly. I believe there will also be a complementary VHF DMR system deployed to provide wide area coverage during the Games.

There will be tetra as said. Also I picked up dmr being used for the interview stages of the volunteers, so I assume that will be used also, and I know Glasgow City council have a tait trunked system only running at around 50% capacity so that has been mentioned about being used also.
Apart from that just scan the full UHF and VHF bands where you may find other comms during the games.

I would think they will be mainly using a Tetra system like Apollo for London 2012.

well the queens baton is now in scotland, passes by my bit next sunday and monday ( i live right on the north and south lanarkshire border so get it passing twice!! )
i take it there will be tv coverage and possibly some security with it,
now the tetra and dmr systems are not country wide, the tetra system has 17 sites covering the event areas etc so i assume when on the road with the batton it may either be just simplex comms if there are any?

anyone picked anything up yet as it has passed there area?
