It has been reported that the first tram along Princess Street will be at 2300 this evening, 4/12/13.

Just for info chaps today i have heard what sounded like radio testing on 163.3625 using the callsign "tram control" so i suggest people in Edinburgh scan around the 163 - 164 area if they are interested. Cheers Elliot

That's the licence. It will probably be changed to MPT trunked at some point as the radios are Analogue Tait's.

Published freqs have been in use for some time. No data channel off the Leith mast so assume that one not being used as trams no longer going all the way.

There's an article in the local rag about them trying to round up 1000 volunteers to test the crowd flow at the Murrayfield stop ahead of some upcoming concert.
Apparently they have been trying hard to punt the idea to the local railway and bus-heads as they couldn't get enough interest amongst the general public.
