Found them again!! There are now transmitting on 454.750, ctcss 127.3.

But as before you only get the control side of the conversation, unless the mobile units are transmitting on another frequency but cant work if its 4??.750 or not.

I got some comms on that frequency earlier, I assume it is just simplex as the base radio will be hooked up to external antenna so you will receive them best, with the mobile stations being handhelds so you only get them when closer.
If it was through a repeater both sides would be the same signal strength.
The ofcom database shows tx and rx on the same frequency which confirms my theory, there is also another frequency 456.575 listed and it is tx and rx on same frequency also, with base signal being strong and mobile signals weaker and broken from my location

Are you sure 454.75 is the shopping centre? Briefly heard it earlier and it sounded like a shopwatch repeater with users using the 5 tone signalling.didnt hear long enough to be sure what it was though.certainly never sounded simplex users. Also briefly heard a user on 462.5625 67.0 hz think it mentioned lanes? And sounded simplex.heard in Hamilton.

it is defo 454.750 but i get it using dcs, i cant remember the exact code, i have it noted down in the van.
also i heard the 5 tone and think it is strange on simplex.
i was parked up yesterday on john st just yards from the regent centre, the base is strong with the mobile users ok when you are close but further away the signal is weak/unreadable so i am sure it is simplex.
i heard a call for a guy who was barred from the centre who was ejected by the security. saying he was exiting the duke st doors so it is 100% the regent security
i will add this is just the regent centre security, not shopwatch. so not really a large area is covered hence the possible simplex.
the hamilton shopwatch is on 453.050 (which used to be 453.7375) with 2 channels on the same frequency, 1 using ctcss and 1 using dcs, one is to log on/off the other is for the usual shop lifter watch etc.
once again i dont have exact tones etc to hand, but i just leave it on the open frequency anyway so i get all comms without changing channel.
stupid having 2 channels on the same frequency even if 1 is just to log on/off as theres no real need in my opinion. but thats what i have heard so far.

462.5625, is a new one on me, hamilton races was on today, is it possible from there? some sort of tv talkback comms?
as lanes would be mentioned as to what lane the horse is in from the stalls.
i normally pick them up around the 457.xxx area if it is that.

or maybe rowing at strathclyde park, as i noticed on the ofcom database a listing for strathclyde park for 447.7125mhz which last year was active for some boat races. so it mite be to do with that?

For 454.7500 I have dcs065.
I can't find the note of the ctcss and dcs in use for 453.050 but I just monitor the frequency without any tones anyway to catch all comms.

was out today and i had the handie with me on 462.5625, i got what sounded like motorbike training so that would tie in with what you heard with lanes being mentioned.
