The thing is there is sometimes the DRRRRRRRR sound of MOTOTRBO on 453.0625 but I have not managed to get round to decoding it yet. But definitely still shops and CCTV on analogue.

I haven't heard anything on that frequency yet,but will listen. However I got a close call hit on 453.9700 mHz,it's active and I've no idea who is using it,there are male and female voices.

I have 453.9750 as being The Pleasance Bar/Event staff but it could be another user. Yeah Edinburgh CCTV is usually very quiet just sometimes it is busy.

Pleasance bar would make sense,I'm just along the road from it.But why it hadn't registered before all the time I've had close call operating sure beats me!! Thanks for the info! :)

Edinburgh CCTV still on analogue.

I work for an organisation who have access to the CCTV Radio network in our line of work and can confirm that they are still active on analogue and very busy at weekends.

During the day you will get the shops radioing up for CCTV assistance, at night, its the Pubs, Clubs, Environmental Wardens, Street Pastors, Taxi Marshals and Edinburgh SafeZone who you will hear.

Interesting listening!

Might need to put your squelch up a bit, I've been tuned to the channel all day and am hearing transmissions from shops and CCTV
