Prestwick Correction

Post by Andrew »

Approach and Radar is 120.550, a wee typo in .650. Also in addition, aircraft handling, all passenger and freight use 129.700 and HMS Gannet uses 337.750 and 79.800.

I can provide the uhf ground frequncies if anyone wants them too.

Andrew

I think that you will find that 79.800 ids the MoD Police. As it is close to your home can you confirm the callsign and input freq (should be 73.xxx)

I hear both sides on 79.800, although I hardly hear it in use. I don't know much about the military side of HMS Gannet, even if it still exists, as it is almost purely a search and rescue base now. The end of the 'cold war' put an end to most of it. I'm about 5 miles from the airport, so the input may be too weak for me to hear.

I have heard the helicopters use it (Rescue / Navy 177)

Check the proma database (I'm not on my own computer) for the input. It was only a few months ago that someone told me that frequency was there. I'd managed to miss it.
