Anybody else in the Coleraine area today getting this?

!62.4500 ctcss 118.8

Mobile surveillance in and around Sainsburys. appears to be 2 cars following somebody around that area.

Very professional sounding, could it be DHSS or DWP?

This is Marine Channel 37, Sainbury's have set up a charity partnership with CRS, unless it was them. But i think they are now TETRA/Digital now.

To be pedantic it's 37B.
As opposed to 157.85 which is 37A. or "M1".

Thanks for the reply guys

Bit of a strange one this for around these parts which lead me to think it could be a DHSS/DWP operation.

This was a 2 car unit following another car around the Coleraine area for a while. seemed to be recording details of what the person was doing and where he was going etc.

Found it strange as local authorities use airwave/tetra. They where not locals and spoke with English accents.

Thanks for the replies though.

Phats just on the subject of CRS, there is some sort of rescue service in Coleraine using 164.0450

I believe this is one of the "uk general/simplex" channels.

They use the callsigns "Comstar"

I have listened to them a few times including a recent incident at the old Bann Bridge about a week ago where they searched the Bann and surrounding areas after a report of somebody jumping in.

No probs phats

I'm not quite sure who these guys are. I always hear them doing searches when someone goes missing in Coleraine. But I heard them on Sunday eve doing First Aid and other things at the Milk Cup opening.

I heard 164.045 briefly at the Riverfest yesterday, was thinking it could be the harbor master as they were giving permission for a boat to park at the north end of the jetty.

its def not harbour master. i have that frequency but its never used, it appears to be some sort
of community sesarch team or volunteer rescue service. they work at most river Bann events and also
you will hear them late at night looking for people who are reported to have jumped into the river. They usually use the callsign "commstar".

I know from others that the Bann rescue are reported to use airwave/tertra so i think this might be like the Foyle rescue type of thing.

They can be pretty busy in the summer time along between the 2 bridges.
