any gritter frequencies?

Post by stevelee1981 »

Hi there

Is anybody aware of or have any road service gritter frequencies for northern ireland.
ive been searching 70-87 mhz but no luck, as i thought they might be in that band.

any help or active frequency would be great.

Hi krOne

I'm on the north coast of N.Ireland. I've got active freqs for other gov agencies like rivers agency but can't find gritters yet. Some say they are using radios here some say mobile phones. But not many seem to be into scanners around here so it's hit and miss for local stuff.

Regards

Is the actual frequency 165.8625 as the band is in 12.5k steps? I live in Ayrshire and might try pulling it in, I can sometimes get your trains on 166.175, tone 156.7

Enjoy it while it lasts there guys, a lot of local councils are replacing the cab radios with mobiles and/or smart phones with datalinks. I know my local council did.... because I managed the transfer! :-p
