Thankfully here in Northern Ireland a lot of the local councils are cheap skates when it comes to comms so lots are still on standard vhf or uhf radios. no airwave or mobile phones like a lot of mainland uk councils seem to use. Hopefully the DOE who provide the gritting here are still using the above frequency this year. With the budget restraints here i would say they will make the councils stick with what they have for a long time!

I think if i mind when i checked the frequency on ofcom wtr it came back as Paterson Electronics. Which is prob Northern Irelands biggest radio leasing company. i keep a section on my 3500xlt filled with all there frequencies and they can be very busy depending on where im at in N.i

Il keep an ear on that frequency mate to see what turns up.

regards
steve
