No, 4.8 MHZ!
If you look above at the frequencies you put in, there is a 4 .8 mHz gap. It's typical of almost everything from 165 - 169 mhz. 169 mHz frequencies are generally single use, where as round about it, the base or output is the lower of the two.
Our local shopping centre security for example can be heard on 166.7625, but the radio's transmit 4.8 mHz higher (171.5625) bounce of the repeater, and both sides can be heard on 166.7625. Search between 165 and 174 in 12.5 kHz steps if it has it, as it is the correct spacings.

I prefer to listen in more locally to the uhf channels for ambulances, you only hear the chat, plus a dial up tone, conversation between the RRU's or Paramedic then when they finish, it moves on. None of that terrafix data chatter.
I'll be in Lancashire (Morecambe / Lancaster) from tomorrow morning until Wednesday night, I'll try and collect some more frequencies / tones whilst I'm there. Grab a few in Carlisle if I can, I'll be there about 9.30 for a wee whiley.
See you when I get back...

Above are the nationally allocated frequencies for uhf pocket radio's. Not all of them are in use in every area. Uhf is a band of frequencies, nfm is a mode of transmission. In area's where fire and rescue are Airwave, they still have analogue radio's for when at locations for communication between themselves.

hia andrew sorry its been a while getting back to u been busy i have tried those frequencies but they dont work in this area have tried everything but cant get rid of that bleeping noise i have tried every dcs and ctcss code but to no joy.could there be a chance that they are using encripted radios or on digital ? i cant see that they are on digital because i would not hear any thing at all. Any thaughts from any one who knows someone in the service who they may be able to quiz about the raidos would prove interisting may thanks again sparks

Re: manchester ambulance
Thats likely your answer, the beeping sound is the encripted signal which you can't decode if its digital.sparkles wrote:could there be a chance that they are using encripted radios or on digital ?
