Never say never - airwave is due for renegotiation very soon and it's still very much up in the air...with pressures on budget etc who knows what the mandarins are thinking

My guess is that they will go back to using spectrum in 87.5 - 108 FM, analogue, unencrypted, so that you won't even need a scanner to pick them up - An old fashioned analogue car radio will do! :lol: :lol: :lol:

The Coastguard is an emergency service, they are still mainly non Airwave.

Who's using this channel now? Was picking up something this morning but couldn't make it out at all
