Some unusual chatter

Post by ThePeaLauncher »

Heard today on 449.400mhz, Two gents chatting about radios and aerials, then saying maybe we should move channel in case they here us on here so moved down to number 1??
Anyone got a reference as to what this frequency is and should be used for? In my old scanning directory says HMV Manchester but definitely not that

Post a more-local location, might help ID them for you. Also if they were using CTCSS or anything. Cheers

449.400 Mhz is UK General PBR frequency, so could be any number of users (literally thousands of potential users).
Taking a wild guess (!) Channel 1 is likely to be the first UK General PBR UHF frequency 449.3125Mhz, and taking a real stab in the dark Channel 3 is going to be 449.475 Mhz. Other possibility is that the channels are one of those frequencies but with a different CTCSS/DCS combination.
