Post by ThePeaLauncher »

Just a couple for fellow Northwest listeners that i picked up when mobile today in Stockport.

165.1875mhz Various chatter mainly about someone who had their dinner money stolen?

455.6350mhz Sounded like the lady on frequency was after help with unloading and loading???

Anyone know exact identity of these please let me know will stick them in the scanner by name. Im out mobile now most days will publish anything i find of interest of people of course dont mind.

165.1875 comes back with many many results. The most likely 1 with you mentioning dinner money would be parrs wood high school in manchester although in st helens its actually bt engineers. 455.6350? brings back no results is that meant be 6375? if so that would more than likely be ground ops at manchester airport e.g loading/unloading of planes etc. Keep them coming i enjoy finding users as thats part of the fun of scanning!!

Hi Marc, Thanks for the reply the 165.1875mhz definitely Parrs Wood High School, the 455.6350mhz i recieved again today definitely that frequency signal not so good today. Ive just posted this in Scanning from my travels today

Out mobile today and was fascinated by this frequency for a good half n hour or so. I know its military but anyone know where its likely the signals were coming from? Im in Stockport near Manchester and my singal meter was nearly bending such was the strength.

Some of what i heard
Magic, Bullseye, Hostile, In Groups, 19,000
Hostile 2 contatcs, Group Vanish, Trail Group

Ok let me re-phrase that. The part of the band you're listening to is 12.5khz steps so it would be 455.6375 & not '455.6350' sure ull be hearing it nicely on that frequency with how close you are to the transmitter. Manchester also deal with military personnel & barton is only next door. Happy listening
