I was doing some scanning around between the limits of 455 - 460Mhz this morning and came across some simplex communications on 459.900 Mhz.
I'm located near Ashton, Manchester.
The people talking were using the callsigns Delta Whisky 8, and Delta Whisky 12, and kept reporting various affairs like person leaving accommodation, and car attending, etc, etc..
It was definitely some surveillance operation of some description.
The activity is still happening now, albeit it's much quieter.
They don't appear to be using any CTCSS.
Anyone know if this is the DWP or Private investigation or similar?
Edit - I can only hear one side of the conversation now... The latest bit of voice I heard was "Hiding at the Greens or grates".
This is definitely some kind of surveillance operation, but the frequency doesn't coincide with that of the DWP frequencies on various lists.
Can anyone else hear this?
It's not a birdie or sprog, as this has been checked on 3 different scanners.
Is this DWP Surveillance on 459.900 Mhz?

we had some like this around here, but it was following a known 'fag seller' around my location.
there were around five cars/vans following the bloke.
never knew the outcome..never heard them again.

This is certainly not the museum of Science and industry.thelad wrote:Belongs to : http://spectruminfo.ofcom.org.uk/spectr ... %20licence
The words "Suspect", "covert", and "hide" and "abandon surveillance" were widely used on this frequency.
Anyone else heard the audio on this frequency yet?
