Update... they just said they are "putting a line across the bridge" as the drunken man is getting aggitated & if he jumps he will land on the bank & not in the water,so there you have it folks a "jumper" on Grosvenor bridge in Chester next to the racecourse.

Deffo at the Grosvenor Bridge,my mate just drove down there & took this picture in the corner of the carpark which is directly next to the bridge, seems they talked sense into the man & the incident is now over as the bridge has reopened, ohwell surprised to see Chester fire brigade still using anologue UHF gear.

Are any of the above used for airport fire service? Have been trying to get some for leeds bradford airport, but no luck. They have a west yorkshire call sign and can attend fires near by to the airport depending on conditions, wonderd if they use the same freqs.

Cheers Liam, will add those to my scanner,im not sure how many watts those UHF handys put out,but they were 2+ miles from me & i was getting them very strong with full noise quietening on their signals which is very good as there is plenty of bricks & mortar between myself & where they were at,cheers for the list ;)

There is a repeater on channel 2 at Birmingham Airport (EGBB).
This is used to allow local authority fire vehicles to talk to airport fire vehicles.
It is refered to as "Channel 2" by West Mids Fire, and as "Channel 9" by Birmingham Airport Fire.

Birmingham Airport Fire use 455.575 / 461.225. They refer to this as "Channel 2", Channel 1 being the Airport's Ground controller (no idea what :3 to :8 are, or if they even exist)
You can see the obvious confusion coming a mile off! "Is that your channel 2 or our channel 2?"

I don't know if all airports have such a repeater, I suspect not as the one at EGBB seems to be a fairly recent enhancement.

EGNM Fire will probably have their own 455 frequency, which you should find in the WTR, though it won't say which is fire, which is ground, etc.
