Listener From Stockport

Post by ThePeaLauncher »

Hi Everyone,

Just found this wonderful forum i am located in Stockport and listen through
a YUPITERU MVT 7100 and a long wire.. and a YAESU FRG 7 on a 1/2 G5RV

Just wondered if you guys could point me in the direction of some interesting scanner frequency's
in the Stockport area.

Particularly interested in finding services between 150-170mhz and not sure what mode to use.

Almost everything between 150-170MHz will be FM and 12.5kHz channel spacing.

Set your 7100 to do an edge search and run it regularly. Note any active freqs and when they are active so you can program them in for more extended listening and identification.

Do the same with other chunks of the spectrum too.

You'll develop your own list of ACTIVE LOCAL frequencies - Far better than relying on the often out of date lists that people (with the best of intentions) keep posting on the internet.
"Search engine? How do I find that?"
"Sod it, let someone else do it"
