From what i can gather, the blokes on 441.150 NFM sound like some sort of transport business carrying stone and what not from quarries.

Yep, I get those guys too. They seem to cover a large area. In fact, the night I picked those guys up on the scanner on the second frequency I found it had the quarry users on that channel during the day.
Speaking to people in foreign lands, with various configurations of copper wire in various strange shapes - my friends think I'm committing acts of witchcraft...
