teesside freqs

Post by JONNY5 »

Im looking for some uptodate freqs for round here, i used to have some years ago that id listen to but these past few years ive mainly been listening to air traffic-military and civil. im after anything other than aircraft as ive got these covered :) i know police has gone but mainly Maritime,fire-ambulance and the general stuff like taxis security that sort of stuff would be great. is there any books out there that would list these?

thanx for any help :)

Hi,

Look at the entire radio spectrum on AJP's frequency list. All you need is listed there. I used this to program marineband, (156. 157. and so on) and getting lots more coverage. Useful if you can't find a specific local frequency.

Cheers.

These are frequencies I have heard in use when in the area, plus on the way there. I'm not sure how accurate it now is as I haven't been in Teesside for about 2 1/2 years. The AJP site I've just looked at for the first time in about 4 years, it's seriously needing updated and stuff removed. We haven't had analogue mobile phones for the best part of 10 years! There was other stuff that was needing binned.

Marine frequencies are pretty much standard, they haven't altered much in years, a lot of years. Pop in at least Channels 0, 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 22, 67, 73 and 86. They will cover virtually everything. Yachts use 37 or 80 depending on which marina they are in.

There is so much out of date in that AJP site I'd just forget about looking there. Any site that still has analogue mobile frequencies in it may as well have visitors that believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny. They will never be used again for that purpose.

I go between my mum's house and my Dad's but live at mum's. Dad lives in Low Grange and mum lives just off Pentland Avenue. I usually take my scanner which ever house I go to.

I have a load of frequencies in my scanner which I'll post on here when I get a chance.
