I don't think I could really understand it that well, however it comes in most of the time throughout the day, don't remember any call signs, I'll keep listening and get back to you, I also just a few minutes ago got 441.1850 MHz.smoggy07 wrote:what kind of chatter did you hear, what time of the day was it and did you notice any call signs in use?jackbromby wrote:Hi,

441.100 is a repeater based up on Eston Nab where the TV/Radio relay is, it`s in a compound with the TV/Radio TX, the port authority TX (on a 15x or 16x VHF freq) and the eemits trunked TX, there are about 5 or 6 known CCTS on that freq, one being Redcar traffic wardens amongst other userskath wrote:hi

That may be one of the Airwave relays dotted around Teesside, I can`t remember where I found a link but ofcom do tell you how many Airwave base stations are in an area, I think Middlesbrough has 3, stockton/thornaby/billingham have one each (stockton has 3 but billingham and thornaby arent listed so I`m thinking they come under stockton) and Redcar has one, I didnt really look for saltburn/loftus area as I was looking local to me or where I knowlolkath wrote:hello

I`ll have a mooch and see if I can find the link out (it might even be on here somewhere)
It also could be for the GSM-R rail network comms, I`m sure the old NRN had a mast near the mines (if there is train access that is)

You can find Airwave sites using Sitefinder on the OFCOM website.smoggy07 wrote:That may be one of the Airwave relays dotted around Teesside, I can`t remember where I found a link but ofcom do tell you how many Airwave base stations are in an area,

Unfortunately you have to do a lot of faffing around zooming in and out, dragging, and clicking markers, as it hasn't occured to the muppets to use a different colour marker for each operator.

KEY : = channel/stud | ~ = CTCSS/DCS | ^ = transmitter site | ¯ = overhead | * = trunked
