North-East military frequencies

Post by ParaHandy »

Following on from the thread about call signs Magic and Osprey, does any milair enthusiast have other milair frequencies that are regularly used in the North-East? I'm an occasional milair listener who would like a bit more info to expand my horizons.

Cheers, Whistler. I had a crack today at 231.425 and 373.275 and there was plenty going on. It was more interesting than the typical air traffic control exchanges.

That's a brilliant job you've got firecrest on the AWACS, I'd love to be able to have access to all the radio equipment onboard one. There smashing aircraft.

Here's one for ya! 299.1 - Boulmer 202 Sqn. Jets sometimes call into this freq to see if there is any Helicopter activity within the Boulmer area.

299.1000 is just a FAC , and isn't used up north around boulmer much only the odd helo ex as its assigned at salisbury plain. I can't say if fighters call in on this to check helo use due to them knowing in pre-flight anyhow and constant asacs comms also jackpot will notify them where they helies are also.

Fair bit of mil-air action lately . Today heard Magic 83 on Boulmer 361.525 and traffic on 264.125, the primary refuelling frequency, which is often busy.
