Geomagnetic unrest at the moment hence the bad SW reception.
Do not believe everything that is in black and white.

Are you all still having trouble receiveing shortwave 'in Nottingham/Derby? I only got into radio earlier this year, so don't have any real idea of how it should sound here when reception is good. I have one of those roll-up wire antennas which makes a difference to the telescopic in-built one but still I'm not sure how to gauge this kind of thing. Sorry to ramble on. Cheers for info.
