Re: 2m Ham in Derby & Nottingham
probably if your using an M3 or M6 they only get heard by other calls..
anyone with a G call have a filter fitted to not hear it..
and those with a 2E or M5/0 also seem unable to hear them.
now start talking to your mates on S20 (thats 145.500) and you'll be surprised who returns back to you with abuse and asking you to clear the call frequency..!!
pig ignorant, thats what amateurs are like in nottingham and derby..!!

Why not just talk to other M3/M6's then?
Show some inverse snobbery.
The silly old G'whatever' fookers will be dead soon anyway and all that will be left will be M3's and M6's, so you'll win in the end.

not trolling at all, i'm licenced and hate amateur radio..
it's the biggest waste or time going..
there was a spate of ignorance a few years ago when the novice calls came about (pre M3) where a couple of bellends a G6 and a G4 would slag of and abuse novices, it got to the stage where any newcomer would last a couple of week then vanish, never to be heard again..
then once the bands became quiet these two **** vanished, one for good, the other comes on on his way to and from work and gets so much abuse you'd think he'd sell up, but he's persistent..no one likes him, but he still comes on to the local repeater GB3DY and gets abused,
so no i'm not trolling, thats how it is around here, if the call don't fit...
back to the original poster, get chatting on S20 or one of the FSTV channels and see how fast it is before they talk to you.. well, tell you to clear 'their' frequency..

Same here puts call out all the time and get no one coming back to me. Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire seems it hard to get anyone to come back to you. even has a 2e0.
I will come back to anyone M3, M6 G's 2e0 and so on. I can not see why it matter what call you got. So has you can here each other.
it get down hearting you put all the calls out and no one calls back to you. I have note how hwrd it getting these days to get a contact.
We will have to Start a 2 Meter TM1 net up for the people who have a call,

If you can't even earn a Foundation licence, you probably wouldn't know how to turn on a radio anyway.
